The Neligh Park Foundation, established June 14 1988,
has since then used gifts,bequests, and other donated sums according to the terms of the bequests and gifts or has deposited the sums
in interest-bearing accounts. The resulting interest is used for projects approved by the foundation.
Among the improvements that the foundation has funded.
Wider sidewalks
Pavilion and Grandstand renovations
Aeration fountain in Fenn Park
Supporting athletics for both youth and adult.The Foundation has
Expanded baseball and softball fields.
Help erect volleyball ,basketball, soccer and tennis courts.
The swimming pool and camping facilities have also benefitted from Foundation money.
Currently The Foundation will help in the finance for landscaping the area around the new visitor center.
The ParkFoundation consists of
a city council member
a park board member
and a member at large.
